We have three lively sessions each week when we can have up to 30 toddlers/babies at a session but are always pleased to welcome new faces so just come along - there will always be a warm welcome.

We try to offer a varied programme for each session so regularly include a craft table, story time and singing spot, as well as a wide selection of toys suitable for pre-school children. From time to time we include a "Special" morning. These take a variety of forms including a Toddler Carol Service before Christmas, visits from an Usborne Book Rep, picnics and "Messy mornings" (where paint, glue and play-dough are found in abundance). If you've never met a pasta pit or experienced a Christmas party with 30 under 5's then Acorns is the place to discover them! If your child loves playing trains, farms, cars, dressing up, jigsaws, puppets, pretend cooking or pretend shopping then come and let them play while you can get to know other parents and carers from the area. The group is not just for Mums! Grandparents, Dads and childminders are most welcome.

As the group has a Christian foundation we try to celebrate major Christian festivals at a level suitable to pre-school children so Christmas, Easter and Harvest time will always see some special activities. In addition we have a small lending library of Bible Story videos and literature about marriage and parenting from the Christian view point which many have made use of.

We run every week of school terms on a "drop in and stay as long as you like" basis. If you live in the area and would like some company for yourself and activity for your children then ACORNS might be just for you. We'd love to meet you.
