You are here
Hope you’re keeping well and coping with this new way of life. In these difficult circumstances, let’s immerse ourselves in God's character and rest in His great promises. In Philippians 4 verse 19, the apostle Paul says to the Philippians:
‘And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.'
God will meet ALL our needs! He’ll supply our material needs. He’ll supply steadfastness, joy and encouragement in the midst of our struggles. And, in the place of anxiety, God will be present with us and give us His peace as we bring our requests to Him. A peace that transcends all understanding. (Phil. 4:6-7). God will meet all our needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ. What a wonderful promise that we can draw comfort and strength from.
As we move into a new way of being church, please let us update you with some more information:
Test and Trace:
Here is a template that groups will need to fill in when they use the building.
Risk Assessment Information:
We'll be live streaming a shorter service at 10.30 a.m. on Sunday morning and we’d love you to join us! Please find attached below the instructions you’ll need to join us on Sunday. If you aren’t able to listen at 10.30 a.m. you can either listen on Facebook or we’re planning to put the video on the church website.
There will also be a short JAM message for the children, which we’ll show on Sunday morning. You should also be able to access this via the church Youtube channel – more details to follow!
We’re working on providing something for the youth to help them know God better and live for Him - watch this space! One youth website that’s worth a visit is ‘Fervr’. https://fervr.net
Whilst, unfortunately, I don’t think we can make Mustard Seeds notes widely available (due to restrictions on monthly downloads), we've ordered 50 copies of a great family devotional called ’The Wonder Of Easter’ by Ed Drew. (Ed’s a highly experienced children’s worker whose material we’ve been using for our Holiday Clubs).
There are 34 different devotionals in the book for families to do together that take them through the Easter story in Luke’s gospel. There will be a recording of 4 of them for families to watch across the next 4 Sundays. This Sunday they’ll be starting with ‘Return Of The King’.
The books should be delivered by the early part of next week. We’ll leave them in the boxes at the three locations listed above (along with the postcards). If you’d like to make a donation towards the book, please leave £4 in the box. For further children’s resources and some great parenting advice podcasts, please check out Ed Drew’s website ‘Faith In Kids’. There’s some great stuff on it. ‘Awesome Cutlery’ do some great children’s music as do Colin Buchanan and ‘Slugs and Bugs’ - please just Google.

People are understandably fearful at the moment - may we point them to the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort. (2 Cor. 1:3) And, as we seek to process the situation and grapple with our own fears ourselves, let’s ‘cast our anxieties on Him because He cares for you.’ (1 Peter 5:7).
We look forward to you joining us online on Sunday.
