In 2000 Norman and Christine McCrone and their children - Carolyn and Stuart - joined Woodlands. Previously from Scotland, Norman has a financial role in one of the train operating companies in Derby and Christine works in education.

In the Autumn of 2002 Norman joined the other leaders in seeking to lead and guide the Church.
