Oakwood is a major housing development on the North East side of Derby: about 13,500 people live there.

Despite the size of the estate there is proportionally very little Christian activity there. In Summer 2003 we held a Holiday Bible Club in the Parkview Primary School for children in School years 3-6 and have been holding 'Trash' groups there each week since then. On Sunday, the 18th April, 2004 we started holding Sunday morning family services in the School starting at 10.30.
